Foreign tourists still love Sri Lanka. They are willing
to arrive in this country. Two Europeans visited Thummulla Laksala for shopping
purchased handloom shirts and sarongs and dressed as Sri Lankans. During their
stay, these two gentlemen prefer wearing traditional Sri Lankan clothing. Therefore, they reached
Laksala to get what they wanted. This shows that these visitors support our
country. They expect Sri Lanka to be a peaceful country as it was before.
The police, tourism police and security forces are jointly
implementing a comprehensive security plan to ensure their safety across the
island including all important tourism sites. The government of Sri Lanka
reassures the world that the country is open for tourism and all possible
measures have been taken to ensure the safety and security of tourists. Our
world famous tourism sites, hotels, resorts and other tourist attractions will
remain open as usual. There are no road closures or restrictions on movement
anywhere on the island.
